3D Printing is also known as additive manufacture, and additive simply refers to the additive process. additive manufacture describes a process which makes physical objects out of a digital model. Usually, it involves laying down very thin layers of either powder, metal, or liquid on top of each other and then joining them together. After which, the object is placed in an oven, with the melted plastics applied on top of one another and cooked away.
