Postcards from... is an international dance/film project in which teams of artists work with community groups to create short “moving postcards” of the area in which they live.

 

The project was conceived and is artistically directed by Jo Parkes and has taken place in Berlin and London. Each project produces a collection of short dance films which present the location through the eyes of the participants.

 

In 2013, Jo and Sven Hill did a small version of the project at Lina Morgenstern Schule. The artists worked with five different small groups of dancers (pupils and teachers) to create five short films presenting the inside of the school to those on the outside.
